Delete your Whatever account
You can delete your account and data at any time, straight from the app. If you can’t open the app, write to us and we will do it for you.
In the app
- Open Whatever and sign in.
- On the home screen tap Settings.
- Tap Delete account, then Delete my account.
- You get 5 seconds to Undo. After that the account is deleted and you are signed out.
Paying for a subscription? Cancel it in the App Store or Google Play first. Deleting the account does not stop the store from charging.
Without the app
Email whateverapp.help@gmail.com from the address you use to sign in, with the subject “Delete my account”. We confirm it is you, delete the account and reply within one month at most.
Deleted straight away
- Your account, email and sign-in identifiers
- Your profile: name, language, country, tastes, diet and allergens
- Your votes and swipes
- Your push notification tokens
- Your customer record at our subscription partner, RevenueCat
Shared with your partner
Dinners, dinner photos and saved places belong to the couple. If you are linked to a partner, they keep the shared dinners and places, now in their name. If you are on your own, all of it is deleted, photos included.
Kept for a limited time
- Failed invite code attempts: up to 30 days
- Notifications already sent: up to 90 days
- Technical logs at our hosting provider: a few days
- Purchase records: as long as tax and accounting law requires (up to 10 years), without anything else about you
Delete only some data
Clear your diet, allergens and tastes in Settings, or unlink your partner, without deleting the account.
